Its hybrid construction combines 5 plies of wood with 2 plies of carbon fiber, creating a lighter, stronger, and stiffer blade with a larger sweet spot than all‑wood models.

Equipped with Sriver rubber, Butterfly’s most popular rubber of all time, the Nakama P‑1 delivers excellent spin and speed for all‑around attacking play. The backside of the blade is painted black, following the traditional Japanese penhold design where rubber is applied only on one side.
